Hi Diane, that sounds like it would work fine. Or you can blend the first batch, then add more peanuts and do a quick blend for a few seconds to break up the extra pieces. Hope you enjoy. 🙂

I was thinking of blending one batch until creamy then blending another until it is coarse and mixing them together, but that might make the mix too dry. What do you think?

Thank you for sharing this homemade peanut butter with us, good to know that this peanut butter is vegan and high in protein also there’s no oil and sugar. Love it.

Hi Amy, to add a sweetener, first blend your peanuts into butter and once smooth add your sweetener and blend for a couple seconds to mix it in. Hope you enjoy!

I’m trying to commit to this new meal plan, but my taste buds are used to Honey Roasted Peter Pan. So, can I add a tablespoon of an alternative sweetener, like Pyure, while it’s blending?

Heat will cause separation of the natural oils found in peanuts, so it could be that the Vitamix got hot after running for a while. Did you use at least 2 cups of peanuts? I find that any less makes it difficult for the blades to “catch”.

I couldn’t get it to incorporate back in and wound up with peanut “nougat” I guess. What caused this?

Hi Lucie, no need to scrape the sides with a Vitamix. Use your tamper to push down the peanuts while blending and you will get a smooth consistency. Enjoy!

Do you need to scrape the sides if using a Vitamix?
